I don’t know how it is where you live, but here in San Francisco, there has been an ongoing debate about whether or not to tip your server when dining out. There are many people who believe that tipping should be abolished altogether because it is inherently unfair and leads to wage discrimination between servers and cooks (servers make more money than cooks). Others argue that if we abolish tipping then waiters will have no incentive to provide good service because they won’t get tipped for doing so
