A DoS attack occurs when an attacker sends more requests than the system can handle, causing it to crash or become unavailable for legitimate users. The most common way to perform a DoS attack is by sending repeated requests with different parameters in order to overload the server’s memory or CPU time limits. This will cause the server to stop responding until it recovers from the overload state
