I don’t know what it is about this feature, but I really dislike it. It feels like an unnecessary addition to the site that doesn’t add any value for me as a user and just makes things more complicated than they need to be.

The old way was so simple: if you wanted to view something on GitHub, you clicked the link in question and were taken there automatically. Now, you have to click a button first before being able to do anything else with your browser window (which seems counter-intuitive)
