Discription

The first thing you need to do is make sure your computer can output video via HDMI. If it can, then the rest of this guide will be about configuring the Raspberry Pi and installing software on it (the “server”).

2. You’ll want a keyboard, mouse, and monitor attached to your Raspberry Pi for initial setup; after that you may not need them anymore if you’re going headless (i.e., without a monitor). This guide assumes that you have those things available and connected during installation/configuration steps
