I started programming when I was 10 years old, doing BASIC on my C64. In the late 90s, I got into Linux and learned Perl (and later PHP) as a way of automating tasks that were otherwise tedious or difficult to do by hand. These days, most of my work is in Python with some Go thrown in for good measure
