The Touch Bar is a gimmick and it’s not even a good one. The idea of having an extra screen on your keyboard that can change depending on the application you are using sounds great in theory, but it’s actually pretty terrible in practice. It doesn’t work as well as advertised and there are no killer features that make me want to use it instead of my mouse or trackpad (which I never use). In fact, every time I try to use the touch bar with something like Photoshop or Lightroom, I end up turning it off because it slows me down so much
