I’m an idiot.
Discription

I have been using a newish feature of the Windows 10 operating system called “Windows Subsystem for Linux” (WSL) to run my development environment on my laptop. I was doing this because it is faster than virtual machines and easier to set up than Docker containers, but also because it meant that I could use bash scripts instead of PowerShell cmdlets in some cases. This worked well enough until last week when I upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS, which broke all of my bash scripts due to changes in how the WSL works with file paths and other things like that. The fix was simple: just reinstall Ubuntu 16 again
