It is running Windows 7 and I am very happy with it. However, my main machine at home has started to show its age (and so have I). So, it was time to build a new one!

For this project, I wanted something that would be powerful enough to run all of my software while being quiet enough not to disturb me when working in the evening or watching TV during the day. Also, since we are living in an apartment building where noise travels easily through walls and floors, it had to be as quiet as possible
