I’m a software developer and I’ve been working on the same project for more than 10 years.
Discription

It’s a large codebase, with many different people contributing to it over time. The original author is long gone, but we have his commit history in git. We also have some bug reports from users that are still open (but not being worked on).

The problem: there are bugs in this codebase that were reported by users 5+ years ago, and they’re still open today! There’s no way to know how many other bugs might be lurking out there because nobody has looked at the code since then. How can I find these bugs? What tools or techniques should I use
