Security Bulletin: IBM Cognos Analytics is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Summary IBM Cognos Analytics is affected by vulnerabilities in IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty and Open-Source Software (OSS). Issues related to these components have been addressed by upgrading or removing the vulnerable libraries. Additionally, a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been addressed. For more information about the vulnerability impact, refer to the table in the "Related Information" section. This Security Bulletin relates only to third-party components that are used by IBM Cognos Analytics directly, and not to any nested dependencies within the product. Vulnerability Details CVEID:CVE-2023-44483 DESCRIPTION: Apache Santuario could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by the storage of a private key in the log files when using the JSR 105 API. By gaining access to the log files, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain the private key information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
