## Summary
IBM Planning Analytics Workspace is affected by multiple vulnerabilities. Spring is used in IBM Planning Analytics Workspace in Server-Side Rest APIs as an indirect dependency by MongoDB that is used to store content (CVE-2022-22968). Node.js moment is used in IBM Planning Analytics Workspace to parse, validate, manipulate and format dates (CVE-2022-24785, CVE-2017-18214, CVE-2016-4055). Legion of Bouncy Castle APIs are used by IBM Planning Analytics in cryptography. (CVE-2018-1000613, CVE-2020-15522, CVE-2018-1000180, CVE-2020-26939). A vulnerability affecting cached web data has also been addressed (CVE-2022-22314).
## Vulnerability Details
** CVEID: **[CVE-2022-24785]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Moment.js could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system, caused by improper validation of user supplied input. An attacker could send a specially-crafted locale string containing “dot dot” sequences (/../) to switch arbitrary moment locale.
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Temporal Score: See: [ https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/223451]() for the current score.

** CVEID: **[CVE-2018-1000613]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Legion of the Bouncy Castle Java Cryptography APIs could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an unsafe reflection flaw in XMSS/XMSS^MT private key deserialization. By using specially-crafted private key, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
CVSS Base score: 9.8

** CVEID: **[CVE-2020-15522]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Bouncy Castle BC Java, BC C# .NET, BC-FJA, BC-FNA could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a timing issue within the EC math library. By utilize cryptographic attack techniques, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain the private key information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
CVSS Base score: 5.9
CVSS Temporal Score: See: [ https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/202188]() for the current score.

** CVEID: **[CVE-2020-26939]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Legion of the Bouncy Castle BC and Legion of the Bouncy Castle BC-FJA could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by observable differences in behavior to rrror inputs in org.bouncycastle.crypto.encodings.OAEPEncoding. By using the OAEP Decoder to send invalid ciphertext that decrypts to a short payload, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
CVSS Base score: 5.3
CVSS Temporal Score: See: [ https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/191108]() for the current score.

** CVEID: **[CVE-2022-22968]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Spring Framework could provide weaker than expected security, caused by a data binding rules vulnerability in which the patterns for disallowedFields on a DataBinder are case sensitive. The case sensitivity allows that a field is insufficiently protected unless it is listed with both upper and lower case for the first character of the field. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to launch further attacks on the system.
CVSS Base score: 3.7

** CVEID: **[CVE-2017-18214]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Node.js moment module is vulnerable to a denial of service. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a low severity regular expression denial of service.
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Temporal Score: See: [ https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/135364]() for the current score.

** CVEID: **[CVE-2016-4055]()
** DESCRIPTION: **The Node.js moment module is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error in the regular expression implementation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a regular expression to cause the application to hang.

** CVEID: **[CVE-2018-1000180]()
** DESCRIPTION: **Bouncy Castle could provide weaker than expected security, caused by an error in the Low-level interface to RSA key pair generator. The RSA Key Pairs generated in low-level API with added certainty may have less M-R tests than expected. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to launch further attacks on the system.

## Disclaimer
According to the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) is an “industry open standard designed to convey vulnerability severity and help to determine urgency and priority of response.” IBM PROVIDES THE CVSS SCORES “”AS IS”” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF ANY ACTUAL OR POTENTIAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY. In addition to other efforts to address potential vulnerabilities, IBM periodically updates the record of components contained in our product offerings. As part of that effort, if IBM identifies previously unidentified packages in a product/service inventory, we address relevant vulnerabilities regardless of CVE date. Inclusion of an older CVEID does not demonstrate that the referenced product has been used by IBM since that date, nor that IBM was aware of a vulnerability as of that date. We are making clients aware of relevant vulnerabilities as we become aware of them. “Affected Products and Versions” referenced in IBM Security Bulletins are intended to be only products and versions that are supported by IBM and have not passed their end-of-support or warranty date. Thus, failure to reference unsupported or extended-support products and versions in this Security Bulletin does not constitute a determination by IBM that they are unaffected by the vulnerability. Reference to one or more unsupported versions in this Security Bulletin shall not create an obligation for IBM to provide fixes for any unsupported or extended-support products or versions.
