The Good: The characters are interesting, and the plot is compelling. There were some great action scenes, and it was fun to see what happened next. It was also nice to read a story where people actually died in battle instead of just being knocked out or something like that (though there were still plenty of those). And the writing style wasn’t bad either; it flowed well enough that I didn’t notice any awkward phrasing or anything like that.
