The top security stories of the week A new report from McAfee Labs shows that cybercriminals are increasingly targeting mobile devices and apps, as well as IoT devices.

The company’s 2019 Threat Report found that malware for Android phones increased by more than 400% in 2018, while threats to iOS devices rose by 40%. Meanwhile, the number of malicious programs designed to attack connected cars doubled during the year.
